Celebrating Our Community by Honoring the Past

We Need Your Help

Honoring Historic Leaders in our City

Since its creation in 1870, Ozark has been blessed with many civic giants. These leaders -- men and women -- have worked tirelessly to improve our city and the state of Alabama. Now it is time for us to recognize "Ozark's Civic Giants."

As a part of Alabama’s Bicentennial celebration, we are selecting outstanding leaders who have made a historical impact on our city in each of these eight categories: Agricultural, Arts, Business, Education, Government/Public Service, Military, Religion or Medicine/Health.

Do You Know a Giant?

Who do you know that has made a significant contribution to the  Agricultural, Arts, Business, Education, Government/Public Service, Military, Religion or Medicine/Health growth of our city? We will unveil winners for each category at our Bicentennial Gala this December. The gala will be an important time for our citizens -- past and present -- to honor those individuals who made Ozark what it is today.

How to Nominate

Nominations can be made from April 1 through June 1, 2019. Once the nomination process is complete, a panel of local citizens will review the nominees and select a winner for each of the eight categories. The honorees will be inducted into the Ozark Civic Hall of Fame at the Ozark Bicentennial Gala on December 14, 2019.
